Supporters of senator otu, made protest at the cultural center today.
The PDP primaries for the Cross River South Senatorial District which took place at the Cultural Center Complex Calabar went into a different scene on Sunday afternoon creating delay of accreditation of delegates.
Materials reached the center at about 1.30pm but no transaction could be done as the managers of CC Calabar are said to have mentioned that the payment for that venue has not been met.
Due to the delay of occasioned because of non-payment, most delegates and other supporters of Senator Prince Bassey Otu started demonstrating demanding that their candidate be returned unopposed as according to them there was nobody to match him nor the record he has achieved. It took the passionate efforts and pleading of Senator Prince Otu to calm the protesters who equally booed at Mr. Ekpo Okon who came to the venue, while singing and warning Governor Imoke to remove his hands from the southern senatorial race and allow the people to decide or be prepared to get his fingers burnt.
However, as at the time of filing this report, accreditation had started and the situation had also become calm.
